Cumberland County Finance Department, Purchasing Division


The Purchasing Division processes and monitors projects and contracts and is responsible for the procurement of goods and services. The Purchasing Division assists all other County Departments in how money is spent, to carry out all necessary functions of Cumberland County Government. Since the principal objective of the Purchasing Division is the acquisition of quality goods and services at the lowest cost, if you are a potential vendor, you may find opportunity with Cumberland County.

New Jersey Rules and Statutes

Our governing NJ State Statutes are found in NJSA 40A:11-1 et seq., the "Local Public Contracts Law". Accompanying regulations are found in NJAC 5:34 et seq. Changes to our laws and regulations are frequently passed by the legislature, and therefore, will affect the operating procedures of the Finance Department, Purchasing Division.
