The Senior Free Wills Program

In 1988, a Senior Free Wills Program was established with a grant received through the Office on Aging. This program, for Senior Citizens who are 60 years of age or older and are residents of Cumberland County, provides a very simple "no frills" Will and became a very popular program. The funds were used for a minimal reimbursement to eleven volunteer attorneys. More than 2,750 free Wills have been provided to Cumberland County Senior Citizens. The program continues without any cost to County Government or the taxpayers, since we have received an outside funding source. Applications may be obtained by anyone who meets the above requirements by calling the Cumberland County Surrogate's office.
