11/28/2010 - Area Christmas Parades
The annual Bridgeton Holiday Parade, in association with the Bridgeton Main Street and the City of Bridgeton, is set for 2 p.m., Sunday, November 28th, and will begin at Bridgeton High School on West Avenue.

Miss New Jersey Ashleigh Udalovas of Millville will serve as grand marshal for the annual event, which features the theme, “An Old Fashion Christmas.” Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus will once again be on hand for the festivities.
The parade route is West Commerce Street to Laurel Street to Washington Street, ending at the Canoe House on Mayor Aitken Drive.
Parade volunteers will be collecting books for Miss New Jersey’s literacy projects and non-perishable food items for area food pantries.
The Main Street Vineland Annual Holiday Parade will be held on Saturday, November 27th. The parade begins at 7:00 pm at 2nd and Landis Avenues. Rain date is Sunday, November 28th beginning at 5 pm.
This year’s theme is “Days of Holidays Past“.
Those who attend Vineland's annual Holiday Parade are being urged to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to donate during the event. The Rotary Club of Vineland will collect non-perishable food items in shopping carts along the parade route.
Non-perishable items such as peanut butter, canned tuna, baked beans, baby foods and formula, corned beef hash, beef stew, Spam, dry pasta, rice, instant potatoes and mac & cheese are in great demand and would make ideal donations during the parade. This time of year, canned fruits and vegetables, as well as holiday items, like candied yams and stuffing, are most appreciated.
The Downe Township Recreation Committee will hold a Christmas parade on Saturday, December 4th. This years theme will be “A Country Christmas.’’ Line-up is at noon, with the parade starting at 12:30 p.m.
The City of Millville Holiday Parade will be held on Friday, November 26th at 7:00 pm. The parade will proceed south on High Street from Harrison Avenue to Main Street (Rt. 49). This years theme will be “Sleigh Bells Ring”.
High Street from Harrison Avenue north to Sharp Street will not be available for spectators and will be closed at 5pm.
