1/25/2011 - Teen Book Discussion At Bridgeton Library
Teen Book Discussion at Bridgeton Library
Imagine waking up in total darkness, unsure of where you are and unable to remember anything other than your first name. This is what Thomas experiences when he finds himself in the Glade, an enclosed structure that is inhabited only by teen-age boys. Surrounding the Glade is an enormous Maze, with walls that rearrange themselves each night. During the day, Runners go out to try and map the ever-changing paths, only to return each night to lock themselves in against attack from the Grievers – giant creatures that are part animal, part killing machine. When an injured Runner is caught in the Maze at nightfall, Thomas does the unthinkable, and leaves the safety of the Glade. Will he survive the night?
Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to find out when they read The Maze Runner by James Dashner, and then attend a book discussion at the Bridgeton Library on Tuesday, January 25th at 6pm. Teens who register and attend the discussion will receive a free copy of the book.
For more information, visit the library at 150 E. Commerce Street in Bridgeton, or call (856) 451-2620. Funded by a Community Development Block Grant.
