6/11/2011 - 19th Annual Delaware Bay Day

Delaware Bay Day 2011, a free celebration of the bay and bayshore area, will take place Saturday, June 11, 2011.

Bay Day 2011 In Cumberland CountyThe Bay Day festival will begin at 11 a.m. in Port Norris with an old-fashioned street parade through town and down High Street to Bivalve. After the parade, at Bayshore Discovery Project, 2800 High Street, Port Norris, old favorites will be joined by new guests to provide food, sales and activities for the whole family, along with some friendly competition. Bay Day will also feature Blue Crab Races, as well as a Crab Picking Contest and the highlight of the festival, the Oyster Shucking Contest.

There is plenty of free parking in Port Norris and shuttle buses to the Bivalve waterfront.
