Cumberland County Library Children’s Program

Tuesday, January 21st at 6:30 p.m.,  the Cumberland County Library will dedicate a children’s reading program to learning about Martin Luther King Jr. Mrs. Melody will read: Martin Luther King Jr. Day by Margaret McNamara. The story follows children on a field trip where they learn about Martin Luther King Jr. and discover their own dreams. The children will complete an activity where they get to share their dreams. Afterwards, Mrs. Melody will explain who Martin Luther King was and why we celebrate his birthday every year. Children will answer questions and win prizes! Continuing the activities of the night, they will color blank faces to create a unique group of faces that will be hung in the library on display. Come have a fun night at the library!
