Cumberland
County Library Children’s Programs for Week of January 19
Bridgeton, NJ: The theme for
this week’s children’s programs at Cumberland County Library is “Safety 911.”
Wednesday, January 21st’s
pre-schooler’s time begins at 10:30 with the featured story, “Big Fire Engine,”
by Kay Barnes. Children will enjoy following the story with Miss Cindy in our
story corner. Afterwards, children will play with toy fire trucks and talk
about 911 emergencies. Children may take home their trucks and a dot-to-dot
coloring sheet that shows them to dial 911 for help!
On Wednesday at 4:00pm first
through fifth graders will create a safety journal. The journals are here, so
kids can just come out and fill them in with the information they need in an
emergency and….decorate.
For Saturday, January 24,
the 10:00am pre-schooler’s group will enjoy music and games together. Included
is a finger puppet production! The stage is set waiting for our puppeteers.
Also on Saturday, at 11:30am
children in grades 1-5 will participate in “parachute play” and “freeze dance.”
The kids will also enjoy a homemade trivia game.
Each
program lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cumberland County Library is
located at 800 E. Commerce St. (Rt. 49), Bridgeton, NJ. Call 856-453-2210 Ext.
