Invasive Insects: The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend
Wednesday, July 14, 6 p.m.

Joe M. Kaser is a research fellow and entomologist at the USDA’s Beneficial Insects Introduction Research Unit in Newark, DE. He will discuss several invasive insect species that are disrupting ecological and agricultural systems in the mid-Atlantic, including the spotted lanternfly and the brown marmorated stink bug. Additionally, he will talk about efforts to manage these insects using their natural enemies, like the samurai wasp.
