Together Time with Appel Farm
Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m.
Children ages 12 months through Kindergarten and their caregivers are invited to play, explore, discover, and create together! Our journey begins with a shared picture book to spark excitement and engagement around a theme. Participants discover hands-on ways to learn, create, and have fun through music, movement, sensory, and art activities. Play clothes are recommended for kids and adults! Homeschool Story & STEAM

Homeschool families are invited to a new monthly program at the Cumberland County Library! Each month we’ll feature a book from our collection and pair it with a STEAM activity. Kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade can join Appel Farm for a transformative arts and learning experience! Students immerse themselves in games and techniques exploring various forms of creative enrichment including dance and movement, music and sound, and visual arts. FURever As Friends Reading Program

Cooking Matters for Teens

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to a new monthly series presented by the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Teens will learn how to make their own tasty meals and snacks at home and how to make smart choices about food at school, out-to-eat or at the store. Cooking Matters for Teens is one of five courses offered by Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters®, a nutrition education program created to connect chefs and nutritionists with families who can benefit from their expertise.

Cumberland County Teens Read!
The Cumberland County Teens Read program is an ongoing challenge designed to foster a love of reading in teens ages 13-18. Teens can earn monthly incentives by logging their time spent reading, writing reviews and/or completing activities using the library’s Beanstack app.

CCL Teen Book Battles!
Cumberland County teens ages 13-18 are invited to make their voices heard in our CCL Teen Book Battles!
Each month we’ll choose two books in a different genre to battle it out! Teens can vote for their favorite online and suggest a nominee for next month. At the end of the year, we’ll see which book rules supreme and celebrate with an awards ceremony!
