SUMMER READING PROGRAM BEGINS!

June 30 – August 9
Let’s “Color Our World” this summer! The Cumberland County Library is inviting readers of all ages to celebrate creativity as the library presents its 2025 Summer Reading Program!

The program runs June 30 through August 9 and features a wide variety of special events for infants through adults. Activities include story times, S.T.E.A.M. programs, family nights, movie programs, and much more! In addition to attending programs, participants can log their reading for chances to win weekly incentives and prize drawings. Patrons can register in person at the library or online beginning June 23. FURever As Friends Reading Program

Monday, June 9, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Baby and Toddler Time

Story Time

Thursdays, June 19 & 26, 10:30 a.m.

LEGO Club

Wednesday, June 25, 6-7 p.m.

Teen Volunteer Meeting

Teens, 13-18

Teen Craft Night – Marble Magnets

Teen Dungeons and Dragons Program

Tuesday, June 24, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Teens, 13-18
Teens are invited to join our Dungeon Master as he leads us through a monthly D & D adventure. Tabletop/role playing experience is not required and new players are welcome. Books & Brews Book Club

If you love books you'll love our book club, “Books & Brews”! Join us for a coffee and talk about what book you're reading! YOU choose the book … no assigned reading! Free ESL Classes and GED Prep Classes

Thursdays, June 5 & 12, 9:30am-2:00pm
Do you need help to get ready for the GED test? Or looking to improve your English? Free classes to prep for the GED, language arts or learn English are now available at Cumberland County Library. Immigrant & Community Information Table

Thursday, June 5, 10am-1pm
A bilingual representative from the Office of New Americans (ONA) will be at Cumberland County Library to explain the free resources offered by ONA for immigrant and refugee communities—including Know Your Rights information, help with programs like Cover All Kids (NJ FamilyCare), and access to free immigration legal services. Yoga with Ceci

Wednesdays, June 11 & 25, 10:30-11:30am
One-hour sessions featuring a soft and gentle practice with breath work and flow, appropriate for beginner and intermediate practitioners. Parent Café: Parenting Is No Walk in the Park!

Designed for parents-to-be or those with little ones at home, this interactive Parent Café will give you a chance to connect with others on a similar journey – we'll get real and talk about how parenting is no walk in the park for any of us. Focusing on protective factors such as relationships and support, this Café experience will leave you feeling supported, empowered, and connected. You’ll also have a chance to win large giveaways, taste some picnic-inspired snacks, and learn about programs and resources available to you! Registration is requested. The Reel Thing

Saturday, June 28, 1-4pm
If you love movies and love talking about them, then you’re invited to join Cumberland County Library’s new film discussion club, The Reel Thing, for an afternoon film followed by a thought-provoking discussion. The club will meet one Saturday every month, and club members take turns picking the films we’ll watch and discuss at upcoming meetings. The film being shown in June is the acclaimed 1945 adaptation of the classic Agatha Christie murder mystery, “And Then There Were None.” Registration is required; participants must be age 18 or older.
