HOURS/WEEK: 35 hours per week
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direction, performs routine drafting work involved in the preparation of drawings, maps, sketches and plans; does other related duties as required. Prepares clear, accurate and complete working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes. Draws land profiles from survey notes and structural dimensions. Maintains established, relevant records and files where selection and classification of data does not require difficult decisions and procedures are routine. Checks noncomplex mathematical calculations for accuracy. Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording; and software and information systems used by the office.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of drafting techniques, instruments, symbols and terminology used in preparing drawings and plans. Ability to understand, remember and carry out oral and written explanations and from demonstrations. Ability to produce engineering drawings that are accurate utilizing methods and techniques of drafting.
