NJLINCS COVID-19 SOCIAL SUPPORT COORDINATOR
NJ Civil Service Unclassified Position
Salary Range: $47,417 - $65,137

Duties: Under direction, coordinates with and assists local health departments (LHDs) and contact tracing teams within the NJLINCS jurisdiction on matters pertaining to COVID-positive and COVID-exposed persons requiring isolation, quarantine, or other social services; works with NJLINCS, LHDs, the New Jersey Department of Health (DOH) Quarantine Director, the DOH Regional Social Support Coordinator (SSC), regional Health Hubs, community-based organizations and other support agencies to address housing, transportation, food, mental health, medical services, insurance coverage, unemployment compensation, and other needs; performs other related duties as required.
*This is a grant-funded position; position may be eliminated if grant funds become unavailable.


Requirements:
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university
with a Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or other social science.

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience in social work, mental health counseling or a related field, preferably with a community-based organization.

LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license in New
Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is
necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing, to include drug screenings, and criminal background checks.
