Starting Salary: $30,000



Duties: Under limited supervision, performs work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions including but not limited to: processing on a daily basis all voter registration forms, change of address forms, name change forms, and inputs the data into the Statewide Voter Registration System, death list from municipalities and DHSS interface records; manages information from voters who moved out of county; prints and mails all batch letters, completes MVC driver’s license searches; merges duplicate voter registration records both in county and throughout the State of New Jersey according to procedures, files necessary information, process returned sample ballots after all elections, process party affiliation, answers phones, assists customers when needed with completing any election documents, prints voter acknowledgement cards, confirmation, and verification cards for voters, determines the eligibility of voters, prior to elections replenishes, updates, and inserts board worker supplies in their black supplies bags, makes sure proper poll book, voting authority card, and sample ballots are place in the bags, on Election Day – assists voters to proper polling locations, looks up voter information in Statewide Voter Registration System, assists board workers through election day issues which includes: challengers, provisional ballots, voter rights, and all election day processes; performs moderately complex and non-routine clerical work; follows the rules and regulations stipulated in N.J.S.A. Title 19; assigned other related duties as required.

Requirements: Ability to follow oral and written directions in a timely and accurate manner. Knowledge of modern office methods to include experience with email, internet, and Microsoft Office products. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with the public. Good organizational and analytical skills. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Overtime will be required (nights and weekends during certain election periods).

Note: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness screening and criminal background checks.
