$14.93 per hour
(To Be Prorated Based on Hours Worked)


Duties:
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor, performs various routine maintenance/repair tasks either singularly or in any combination thereof in the following fields: mechanical, general cleaning of buildings; does related work as required.

Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to move heavy furniture, supplies, and equipment; load and unload trucks.
Ability to work while on a ladder or scaffolding.
Ability to obtain, store, safeguard, distribute, and properly use equipment, materials, and supplies.
Knowledge of standard tools, materials, and methods involved in performing general maintenance and repair work.
Ability to run power-cleaning equipment floor machines.
Knowledge of procedures, materials, and tools used in stripping, washing, waxing, vacuuming rugs and other work.
Ability to clean rooms, offices, bathrooms, restrooms; dust, wash, and clean windows.
Ability to shovel snow and salt icy surfaces to prevent slipping.
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in performing general maintenance work.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position.
Required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and computerized information systems.


License:
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.


Hours:
Typical workdays include Monday through Friday.
Positions will typically not excess of 28 hours per week.


Note:
Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes
drug screening, criminal background check, and verification of clean driving record.
Position includes ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
