Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 (Dependent upon experience)


Duties: Under the direction of the Director of Personnel & Human Resources, is responsible for the administration of all benefits and retirement programs.

• Management of employee benefit plans (enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations)
• Conduct monthly new hire benefit orientation sessions (virtual and in-person)
• Prepare and distribute annual open enrollment documents
• Process COBRA entries for insurance terminations
• Maintain employee benefit contributions and monthly ACA information in HRIS
• Audit and process monthly insurance provider invoices
• Maintain online employee benefits portal
• Management of retiree health insurance plans and annual open enrollment
• Serve as the County’s liaison to insurance brokers and vendors
• Prepare and coordinate regular employee benefit communications
• Maintain leave of absence records and report missed contributions to Payroll Department
• Assist with resolution of insurance claim issues
• Life Insurance claim processing
• Perform other HR-related duties as assigned

Requirements: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience in benefits administration preferred. Three (3) years of general experience in human resources activities in either the public or private sector preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Hours: Typical work shifts are daytime shifts Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
