Case Worker/ Social Worker (LTE GRANT-FUNDED POSITION)

Salary: $35.00 Per Hour
Definition:
In collaboration with the grant coordinator, county social services agencies, and other key stakeholders, guides the administration and implementation of health-based and educational initiatives to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 in Cumberland County.
Examples of Work:
• Collaborates regularly with county health and social service agencies to assess community health needs and determine the best use of grant resources.
• Assists with planning and facilitating educational events designed to inform members of the public on how to best deal with COVID-19.
• Recommends literature, websites, and other informational resources to boost community awareness of COVID-19 response efforts.
• Provides referrals to community COVID-19 support services (including testing, vaccination, booster shots, quarantine confinement, food delivery, follow-up care, comfort care, transportation, and similar services) as needed.
• Report writing and data compilation as mandated by the state-funded grant.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Knowledge:
• A familiarity with community-based health education best practices
• Flexibility to respond to changes in community needs
• Excellent communication skills
• Collaborative, team-based mindset
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Applicants with written knowledge of Spanish preferred
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (or in final semester of a university-based social work program)
License: Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey
Note: This is a grant-funded position, expected to run from March - October 2022, with the possibility of extending through October 2023. 20 hours per week to include some nights and weekends
Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes drug screening, criminal background check, and verification of a clean driving record.
