Senior Field Representative Health Education (Provisional, Pending Civil Service Procedures)
Salary Range: $44,000 – $57,000
or
Health Educator (Provisional, Pending Civil Service Procedures)
Salary Range: $48,392 – $62,768


Open to: Open to residents of Cumberland County.

Duties:

Sr. Field Rep Health Education: Under direction, conducts the field and office work involved in carrying out specific projects in one or more health education programs; does related work as required. 
Health Educator: In addition to above, assesses individual and community health needs; plans, implements and evaluates effective health education programs; coordinates health education services; serves as a resource person in health education.

Requirements:

 Sr. Field Rep Health Education: 
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Community Education, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of diversified health education programs in a local health department or state or local agency.

Health Educator:
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Community Education, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of diversified health education programs in a local health department or state or local agency.
NOTE: Master’s degree in one of the areas listed above may be substituted for 1 year of the required experience.
CERTIFICATION: Applicants must possess a certification as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) issued by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.

LICENSE:  Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey
Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing, to include drug screenings, and criminal background checks.
