Receptionist/Telephone Operator Bilingual in Spanish and English

Salary: $30,374
Definition:
Under direction, receives callers and visitors, provides them with information, schedules appointments, and acts as liaison between department personnel and callers/visitors; does related work as required.
Examples of Work:
• Receives calls and visitors, determines their reasons for visiting the office, provides them with the required information according to departmental procedures and, as is possible, sees that the desired objectives are achieved
• Answers the telephone and provides information
• Sees the visitors who have appointments with department staff
• Performs varied clerical duties, including keyboarding, and filing
Knowledge:
• Communicate effectively and professionally
• Knowledge of modern office methods to include experience with email and Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and data entry skills
• Knowledge of office routines, procedures, and practices, and their application to specific situations
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English and Spanish to perform the duties of the position
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
LICENSE:
• Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey
Note:
Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes drug screening, criminal background check, and verification of a clean driving record.
