Keyboarding Clerk 1
Salary: $31,000

Open to: Open to residents of Cumberland County.

Duties: Under direction of the Division Head, performs routine, repetitive clerical work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions; formats and key enters/types correspondence, documents, reports, charts and other materials on a computer; does other related duties as required.  Examples include:
o Schedule field inspections & appointments 
o Communicate effectively with customers and regulated entities including contractors, and engineers.  
o Bill and collect revenue from customers and regulated entities. 
o Generate milestone reports as required. 
o Review open/unpaid purchase orders with applicable departments for appropriate close-out.
o Review and fill OPRA requests submitted to the Environmental division as directed. 
o Ensures document retention policies and procedures are followed.

Knowledge and Abilities:
o Applicants will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding or typing of at least 40 net words per minute.
o Experience in sewage or environmental health preferred. 
o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. 
o Ability and aptitude to effectively utilize automated financial systems and internet portals. 
o Ability to use critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing and drug screening.
