Full Time, Temporary Omnibus Operator
$15.79 per hour
Duties: Reports to the Supervising Omnibus Operator or equivalent level administrative staff; drives motor vehicles with passenger capacity of sixteen persons; transports riders via assigned and established “To-Work” shuttle service routes or other various destinations; cleans and sanitizes vehicle interior after use, refuels vehicle, and makes recommendations for engine and other repairs; performs and documents regular safety checks on vehicles; maintains accurate log of passenger ridership counts; assists passengers on and off vehicles; maintains order and discipline among passengers; provides aide and/or helper services for riders needing special assistance; related duties as required.
Requirements: Possession of valid New Jersey CDL-B with passenger endorsement. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to analyze problems regarding operations and daily schedule of vehicles. Ability to write required reports and keep necessary records. Ability to drive vehicles in a skilled and safe manner.
Note: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness, and drug screening. Position is subject to ongoing periodic and random substance abuse testing.
