Duties: Under supervision, performs the field and office work involved with the collection, recording, and evaluation of data, to include the employability, the medical status, and the physical or mental health of applicants/clients, for the purpose of determining applicants’/clients’ eligibility for programs and services; provides information to families and individuals to achieve self-sufficiency through employment opportunities and/or child support services, and other related work. Note: The definition and examples of work for this title are for illustrative purposes only. A particular position using this title may not perform all duties listed in this job specification. Conversely, all duties performed on the job may not be listed. 

Requirements: Sixty (60) semester credit hours from an accredited college or university; ability to read, write, speak, and understand or otherwise communicate in English (and Spanish for the Bilingual title) sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Ability to utilize a computer and other office equipment with particular emphasis on Microsoft Office software. Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey and abide by County Motor Vehicle Policies to perform the essential duties of this position. 

Hours: Thirty-five (35) hour per week; Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm 

Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes drug screening. Must pass Civil Service test for permanent status; must pass language test for Bilingual status.
