Starting Salary: $34,250 to 45,250

Duties: Under supervision, is responsible for receiving, sorting, distributing, and dispatching mail and packages within an organization, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with postal regulations. Also, is responsible for managing inventory, receiving and shipping goods, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities.

Sorting and distributing mail.
Processing outgoing mail.
Maintain logs of incoming and outgoing mail, including registered or certified items, and track parcels for accountability.
Provide basic support to colleagues and external clients regarding mail inquiries and urgent deliveries.
Use mailroom equipment such as scanners, fax machines, high-speed inserters, and postage meters.
Receiving and inspecting incoming stock: Verify shipments against purchase orders, check for damage, and document and report discrepancies.
Organizing and storing products.
Picking and packing orders.
Inventory management.
Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move and organize materials safely.
Follow safety protocols, keep work areas organized, and adhere to security procedures.

Knowledge and abilities:

Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage high volumes of mail efficiently and prioritize urgent items.
Physical stamina and Dexterity: Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds. and perform repetitive tasks.
Familiarity with mailroom equipment, computer systems, and basic clerical software.
Effective verbal and written communication for interacting with colleagues
Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

License: Driving is required.  A valid New Jersey driver's license, and clean driving record are required.

Hours: 40 hours per week.  Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing, including drug screen.
