Summer Reading Program Begins!
July 6 – August 15 (Registration opens June 29)
“Unearth a Story” this summer! The Cumberland County Library is inviting readers of all ages to explore the world of dinosaurs, paleontology, and archaeology as the
library presents its 2026 Summer Reading Program! The program runs July 6 through August 15 and features a wide variety of special events for infants through adults. Activities include story times, S.T.E.A.M. programs, family nights, movie programs, and much more! In addition to attending programs, participants can log their reading on the Beanstack app for chances to win weekly incentives and prizes. Patrons can register in person at the library or online beginning June 29. Join our America's 250th Reading Challenge on the Beanstack app and honor 250 years of stories, innovation, and history with 250 minutes of reading. Log your reading, earn fun badges, and help us celebrate the nation's past, present, and future.

Yoga with Ceci

One-hour sessions featuring a soft and gentle practice with breath work and flow, appropriate for beginner and intermediate practitioners. Each participant is encouraged

The Book [Club] Was Better

Houseplant Workshop: Nurturing Houseplants

Everyone has a green thumb even if you don’t think so. Join in on an interactive presentation on nurturing houseplants. Discover the best ingredients to amend your
indoor plant soil, which containers might work best, proper lighting requirements, amount and frequency of watering and when to fertilize. An assortment of indoor
houseplants will be on display that perhaps you never considered growing indoors. We encourage you to bring your own houseplant(s) to show off or to ask questions regarding its health. The Reel Thing

Eco-dyeing with Flowers Workshop
Thursday, July 30
5:30-7:30 pm
In this workshop for adults 18+, participants will use natural dyes created with flowers to dye fabric from simple dyeing to a tie dye technique. Pieces of pre-mordanted fabric
(10x10") will be provided for dyeing, and each participant could go home with several pieces of dyed fabric. Instructor Linda Jackson will lead a conversation on how to use
these fabrics in a quilt, as patches for mending, small bags/pouches & other ideas. Participants can bring their own quart jar if they’d like to take some of the dye home.
