Duties: The HR Benefit Specialist manages employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits enrollment, eligibility, claims, and policy questions while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Administer employee benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
Coordinate new hire enrollment, annual open enrollment, and qualifying life even changes.
Educate employees on available benefit options and assist with benefit-related issues.
Process benefits enrollments, terminations, and status changes.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including COBRA and HIPAA
Coordinated annual open enrollment and communicate benefits updates.
Work with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve claims and edibility issues.
Ensure compliance with federal, states, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
Maintain accurate employee benefits records and data,
Analyze benefits utilization and recommend program improvements.
Support audits and prepare benefits reports
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in benefits administration.
Knowledge of employee benefits programs and applicable employment laws.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of employee benefits and HR practices.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and HR Software
Requirements:
Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
2 – 5 years of experience in benefits administration.
Possession of a bachelor’s degree and or professional certifications is preferred.

Hours: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week. 

Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes drug screenings.
