11/2/2010 - C.A.T.S. To Provide Election Day Transportation

County Transit System to Provide
Election Day Transportation to the Polls

Seniors, disabled residents and veterans who need transportation to their polling place on Election Day can call the Cumberland Area Transit System (C.A.T.S.) for a ride.

The C.A.T.S. busses will be available on Tuesday, November 2nd between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for rides to and from the polls.

“Transportation shouldn’t be a barrier for residents who want to go to their polling places and vote,” said Freeholder James A. Dunkins, chairman of the Department of Health. “We’re proud that The Office on Aging and Disabled can make this happen.”

If you need transportation to your polling place, you can call C.A.T.S. at 856-691-7799. Arrangements can be made anywhere from 48 hours in advance all the way through Election Day.
