5/17/2011 - Scholarships Offered To County Residents

The Cumberland County Board of Agriculture offers agriculture scholarships to residents of Cumberland County who are qualified for admittance as a full-time student in a collegiate agricultural program and who want to pursue a career in production agriculture or horticulture.

The Board of Agriculture’s Scholarship Fund was established through the efforts of the board’s executive committee to help those who want to further their education in production agriculture and to encourage the continued use of improved technology in agriculture.

A second scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior in Cumberland County who has demonstrated civic leadership and scholastic achievement related to agriculture.
