Big Brothers Big Sisters Collecting School Supplies
For Cumberland Students

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties has launched its annual Book Bag Campaign in preparation for the 2011-2012 school year.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties has launched its annual Book Bag Campaign in preparation for the 2011-2012 school year. The organization served more than 400 children in one-to-one mentoring relationships last year in community and school-based programs. Because of the success of last year’s Book Bag Campaign, the agency was able to provide many of those children with brand new book bags and school supplies.

A major focus of the campaign is to collect enough supplies to help schools continually provide students with the necessary educational tools beyond just the beginning of the school year.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties hosts a summer picnic where many of its families receive donations from this campaign. The organization also partners with 17 different schools within the Cumberland and Salem County area. This effort is designed to provide items for as many of these schools as possible.

Any individuals or businesses who wish to participate in the campaign may drop off brand new book bags and school supplies such as; pencils, paper, notebooks, calculators, crayons, and markers to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties office at 1944 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, or the Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Salem County at 125 W. Broadway, Salem.
