ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE
CUMBERLAND COUNTY - Department of Public Works announces that Cohansey – Deerfield Road (CR 540) in Upper Deerfield Township - Hopewell Township will remain open until Monday July 30th, 2012 when it will be closed for bridge repairs.
Effective Monday, July 30th, 2012 the Cohansey - Deerfield Road (CR 540) in Upper Deerfield Township – Hopewell Township will be closed for repairs. The road closure should last until approximately the end of the year, as this is a major repair.
County Officials suggests residents travelling in this area use the following detours:
1) Westbound traffic on Deerfield Road (CR 540) will be detoured onto Center Road (CR 663) Southbound, to Harmony Road – Walters Road (CR 689) Westbound, to Seeley – Cohansey Road (CR 723) Northbound, to Cohansey Deerfield Road (CR 540).
2) Eastbound Traffic on Cohansey Deerfield Road (CR 540) will be detoured onto Seeley Cohansey Road (CR 723) Southbound, to Walters Road – Harmony Road (CR 689) Eastbound, to Center Road (CR 663) Northbound, to Deerfield Road (CR 540).
The road closure of County Route 540 will last for some time, as this is a bridge replacement.
