The Cumberland County Library has been purchasing new adult nonfiction with titles of interest to those seeking health related information for personal use. Some of the titles are listed below with their call numbers.

To borrow any of these items, stop by the library at 800 East Commerce Street, Bridgeton on Rt. 49. The library’s hours are 10am to 8pm Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 5pm Thursday to Saturday, closed Sunday.  To save a trip, call the library to inquire about an item’s availability at 856-453-2210 ext. 119. If the item is not available, staff can place a hold on it for you. You will receive a call when the book is available.

If you have Internet access, log into www.login-libraries.org and select Cumberland County Library. You can see if an item is available for yourself from home, school, or office. If it is in and you wish it held for you or if it is checked out and you wish to be notified when it is available for you, you can place a hold on the item.

Placing holds: At the catalog website, look up the title of the work. In the box to the left of the information about the item, click on “Place Hold.” Then fill in the information requested on the next screen: Library ID (card number with all digits, no spaces), PIN number, pickup library, and an expiration date if you wish to have one. Then click on “Place Hold” again. The library will call you when the item is available for pickup.

Library cards are available to all Cumberland County residents. Identification with name and address is needed for registration. Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them and show ID. If you are 17 and have a driver’s license, you can sign for yourself.
