Library cardholders can now borrow dynamic content from their smartphones, tablets and PCs

BRIDGETON, N.J. (Mar. 25, 2014) – Cumberland County Library is excited to announce today public availability of thousands of movies, television shows, music and audiobooks, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoopladigital.com).

Cumberland County Library card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com  to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets, computers and Apple TV.

To access the Hoopla system on your mobile device, you will need to first download the FREE hoopla digital app from the App Store on your Android or IOS device. There is no need to download an app or extension for your internet browser.

Once you have downloaded the app to your device(s) and/or clicked on the hoopla digital link on our website you will be prompted to enter your email address, a password, your library card number, and your library card PIN number. The system will validate that you are in good standing with the county library, so that you may begin to browse, borrow, and enjoy the content.

Visit our website-www.cclnj.org and look for the hoopla URL or get started by typing in the URL hoopladigital.com .

“Since the county library’s founding in 1963, the county library has remained committed to the exploration of new resources and are constantly adopting services that will meet the diverse needs of our patrons,” said Jean Edwards, Director at Cumberland County Library. Tony Surace, Freeholder Liaison to the county library,  stated that he and his family were looking forward to the Hoopla digital content ranging from entertainment to educational to children’s programs. He said there would be something for everyone in his family.

Cumberland County residents only need a library card to get started and all content is accessible on-the-go – free of charge.  It’s also digital so there is no waiting period for popular titles and hoopla’s automatic return means no late fees.

Library card holders can borrow 5 titles per month. Videos lend for 3 days - Music lends for 7 days - Audiobooks lend for 21 days

Cumberland County Library is one of four libraries in New Jersey to partner with hoopla digital. Current partners include Mahwah Public Library, The Rahway Public Library and Mount Laurel Library.
