County Veterans Affairs Department Temporarily Relocates
Bridgeton, NJ – As of May 8, 2015, the Cumberland County Veteran Affairs Department has temporarily relocated its offices to 788 E. Commerce Street, Bridgeton, NJ. This is the first phase of a move to new offices located at the Office of Employment and Training/Workforce Development Facility currently being constructed on the campus at the Cumberland County College. County Veteran Affairs Director Diana Pitman said, “We are excited about the new collaborations and resources that will be available to our county veterans with this new move”. Veteran Affairs Freeholder Liaison Darlene Barber said, not only will this move enhance its resources for Veterans seeking jobs and other services, but it will also provide Student - Veterans with greater access to the new Career and Technical Training Institute being constructed adjacent to Cumberland County College conveniently located just off of NJ Route 55”.
In the interim, the County will continue to serve Veterans through the temporary office located at 788 E. Commerce in Bridgeton. It is anticipated that the move the permanent location on College Drive will be early Fall. The contact numbers remain the same; phone 856-453-2239 and fax 856-455-5794.
