Cumberland County NJ, - The Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Cumberland County Department of Veterans Affairs would like to invite the public to attend and participate in the 2017 “Wreaths of Remembrance” Ceremony to be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery.

Veterans Affairs Director Diana Pitman said, "this is a very special ceremony that brings our community together in the spirit of volunteerism and remembrance for the sacrifices made by those who have served our country through military service”.

Family members, and friends of Veterans interred at the Cemetery will be invited to place wreaths on the grave sites of their loved ones. A number of volunteers will also be on hand to assist as there are over 900 wreaths.
Committee member David Schad said, “There are a number of businesses and members of the community that played a significant role in allowing the Ceremony to take place this year. We want to gratefully acknowledge the support of all of our sponsors including Michaels at the Cumberland Mall who discounted the cost of the Wreaths and The Vineland Rotary Charities Foundation. In addition, Century Savings Bank, DeRossi & Son, Dun-Rite Sand & Gravel, Newfield National Bank, Worldwide Glass Resources, the Dondero Family, the Hunter Family, Lilly Kejzman, Dennis Palmer, Kathleen Valla and the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders.      Cumberland County Freeholder Director Joe Derella said “on behalf of the Freeholder Board, we sincerely thank the Vineland Rotary Charities Foundation and the Wreaths of Remembrance Committee who took the time to get together and raise the funds to ensure the ceremony could take place.
