Cumberland County Department of Veterans Affairs Honors Matt Jordan
The Cumberland Department of Veterans Affairs and the Cumberland County Veterans Commission took some time to honor one of their own on Saturday June 16, 2018. Matthew Jordan was honored at the Semper Marine Detachment Annual Cigar Event.
Freeholder George Castellini was on hand for the special occasion and said “Matt is a dedicated veteran. From the very day I met him, his concerns were and continue to be about supporting our veterans. He is truly an outstanding person, constantly thinking of his fellow veterans and placing them before himself”.
Diana Pitman, Department Director said, “Matt is one of our original members on the Veterans Commission. We are honored to have the opportunity to work with him”.
Freeholder Joseph V. Sparacio, Liaison to the Department of Veterans Affairs said “Jordan who is now 80 years young still continues to serve the Veteran Community in any way he can. He was presented with a plaque from the Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Cumberland County Department of Veterans Affairs in recognition of his dedication and commitment to County Veterans”.
