CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NEW JERSEY (February 1, 2021) Carol Musso, Cumberland County’s longest serving County Commissioner, was elected to serve as the President of the South Jersey Commissioners (formerly Freeholders) Association at its virtual reorganization meeting held on January 25, 2021. The SJCA membership consists of the commissioners of the eight South Jersey counties and provides a forum for South Jersey’s commissioners to share information and work to together on issues of common concern. According to Commissioner Musso, “Through the SJCA, South Jersey is able to unite to promote policies that benefit our region giving us a strong voice that can’t be ignored in Trenton.” Musso added, “We are a bi-partisan association that prioritizes our collective interest over politics.”

Musso describes the SJCA as a “collegial group of people dedicated to improving our regional quality of life, while preserving what makes South Jersey special.” “Politics aside, we find that, as commissioners, so many of our challenges are common to all of our communities.” Musso declared, “It is a honor to lead a group of dedicated public servants who, unlike so many of our national elected officials, are ready, willing and able to work together to solve problems that impact us all.”
