The Cumberland County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center is the centralized answering point for all 9-1-1 calls in Cumberland County. The Communications Center also dispatches for 25 Fire Departments, 8 Basic Life Support (BLS) Rescue Squads, 9 BLS First Responders and 3 Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic Units.

Cumberland County is also the after-hours contact for many municipal, county and state agencies that operate within the county.
