Incarcerated Person Accounts

Money may be applied to an
incarcerated person account using two methods:
"Mail" or "Account Vending".
Mail
If mailing a money order to an incarcerated person you must send funds to:

You must include the incarcerated person name and county number. Only money orders or cashiers check will be accepted.
Account Vending
Use the Broad Street entrance to access the incarcerated person Account Vending machine. You must enter the incarcerated person full name and county number. The machine accepts cash or debit/credit cards. There is a $3.00 transaction fee incurred on each transaction.
(Example: If you deposit $20.00 only $17.00 will be applied to the incarcerated person account.)
Released incarcerated persons may pickup money from their accounts between the hours of 9:00 am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm daily.
(** A picture ID will be required to withdraw funds**)
Incarcerated Person Mail
The Cumberland County Department Of Corrections maintains a mail system in which all incarcerated persons can send and receive mail. All incoming mail will be subject to search ( except legal mail from an Attorney or Law firm). Any mail from an attorney will be opened in the presence of the incarcerated person as not to infringe on the confidentiality of the attorney/client.
All mail should be sent in a S.A.S.E to: (NO COLORED ENVELOPES WILL BE ACCEPTED)

Incarcerated persons are allowed to receive books, magazines, and pictures. All books and magazines must be soft back and must come directly from the publisher. Only 7 pictures up to a size 5"x7" will be accepted (NO NUDITY). All others will be subject to confiscation and destruction.
If sending money by mail, only United States Postal Service money orders will be accepted via mail. All money sent via mail will be forwarded to the Incarcerated person Account. There is a 3 business day hold on all deposited incarcerated person money. Ex: Money deposited on Monday will not be available for incarcerated person use until Thursday.

Please do not send any contraband such as drugs, pens, pencils, paper clips, etc. As such infractions will be forwarded to our Special Investigations Unit for investigation and possible prosecution.
