Treasury Division


The Treasurer is chief custodian of all county funds. The Treasurer keeps and accounts for the funds in designated depositories and disburses the funds as the County Commissioner Board may require or direct, not inconsistent with constituted law. The Office of the County Treasurer processes and distributes payroll, vendor and other checks and payments under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. The Office maintains the following information:
  • Accounts of all receipts and disbursements
  • Records of all checks and disbursements
  • Records of all debt service payments and debt issued by the County

The Treasury Division is actively involved in the County budget process, grant management, tracking of the County’s capital assets, and assisting County departments with all that encompasses such activities including providing advice on department financial planning and establishing and monitoring internal controls.
